With 30+ years recording experience and a BS in Audio Production from MTSU, Kris brings a rare blend of technical mastery and deep-rooted musicianship to every session. His journey includes co-founding The Map Room in Portland, Oregon—a professional studio that became one of the busiest and most infamous fixtures of the city’s local scene. There, he crafted countless records, earning a reputation for a tireless work ethic and a “musician-first” philosophy.

Kris has worked with a massive spectrum of talent, from first-time singer-songwriters to Grammy-winning producers and veteran artists across virtually every genre. Also a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and seasoned performer, he’s studied with masters like Roland Grisham and Regi Wooten and understands the creative process from the inside out—knowing exactly when to offer a seasoned ear for arrangement and when to simply get out of the way and let the magic happen.

More than just an engineer, Kris brings a unique philosophical passion to his work. He believes the Universe is fundamentally made of Sound—and his role as organizing those frequencies into something Life-Affirming.
